July 2023 update

New Similarweb API integration, additional Visible Alpha consensus metrics, and various other improvements and bug fixes.

New features

Similarweb API integration

We released an integration with Similarweb's API, allowing users to easily query the Similarweb API with Exabel signals and thus use them across our analytics and visualization tools. See the announcement and documentation for more details.

Additional Visible Alpha consensus metrics

Additional Visible Alpha consensus metrics - namely the median, min, max and standard deviation of consensus estimates - may now be retrieved through the Visible Alpha signals va_consensus(), va_metric() and va_revisions(). See the announcement and documentation for more details.

Improvements

  • Import Jobs: Added test connection button.
  • Import Jobs / Data API: Added support for replacing existing time series, when importing time series. This is equivalent to deleting the existing time series (including all its point-in-time history), before importing the new time series. This is useful for cases where you would like to do a full reload without having to first delete existing time series.
  • Charts / Signal Explorer: Added option to have split / shared tooltips on Time series charts. Split tooltips shows a separate tooltip for each time series on the chart, while shared tooltip shows a single tooltip with all time series included.
  • DSL: New "publication date" (pd) alignment option to retrieve the company calendar, FactSet actuals/consensus or Visible Alpha actuals/consensus aligned to publication date. Publication date is defined as the date on which the company report is published, while the existing "report date" (rd) alignment refers to when the company report impacted trading, which can be a day later.

Bug fixes

  • Dashboards: Adding a new column no longer causes an entire column group to disappear.
  • Company/entity picker: Fix to avoid resetting this each time after adding a company/entity.
  • Financial models: Fix issue where signals could not be removed from a financial model row.
  • DSL: Fix incorrect alignment when requesting alignment='rd' for company_calendar() and the Visible Alpha functions (va_actual(), va_consensus(), va_metric()). This was previously returning publication date not report date.
