Users, User Groups & Customers

Users

Users are identified using their company email address, and belong to a single customer. In addition, a service account user is set up for each customer, which is used for API access.

User Groups

All users are members of the customer user group for their associated customer. Additional user groups can be set up by Exabel during user onboarding. The customer's user groups can be read using the User Service.

Customers

A customer on the Exabel Platform represents a single tenant, e.g. a client organization or a data partner. The client organization can be shared among all users of a company, or only represent a single team, department, or division.
